An Evening with Raine Geoghegan

Join us at Waterstones Tunbridge Wells for an intimate evening of poetry with Raine Geoghegan and her guest, local poet Siân Thomas.

Raine Geoghegan was born in the Welsh Valleys and is of Romany, Welsh and Irish descent. She is a multiple prize-winning poet and prose writer whose work has been published online and in many journals.

Her poems and songs were featured in the documentary, Stories from the Hop Yards, screened alongside her appearance at the Ledbury Poetry Festival. She has published three pamphlets, her first, Apple Water: Povel Panni, chosen as a 2019 Spring Selection by the Poetry Book Society. She is a Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, and Forward Prize nominee.

Her first full collection The Talking Stick: O Pookering Kosh was published by Salmon Poetry Press in March 2022.

Siân Thomas is Poet in Residence for Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. Her pamphlet Ovid’s Echo and collection Ashdown are published by Paekakariki Press
Siân teaches creative writing to adults and in schools in Sussex and Kent and online. She is a founder-member of The Muse Agency and presents The Poetry Bath on Wildhart Radio
