Vocal & Live at TW Forum

This event is so big we’ve had to give it its own listings page. Our third takeover of Tunbridge Wells Forum and the perfect way to spend a (hopefully) sunny Sunday afternoon ahead of our festival headliner, Harry Baker, taking the stage to perform his incredible one-man show “Unashamed“.

As usual, the garden will be the place to express your originality and artistry with prompts and inspiration to get the creative juices flowing. There will be words and there will be music, but the emphasis will be on informality rather than organised activities.

Inside, the main stage will play host to an afternoon of top-notch community entertainment, including readings, open-mics and music, leading to a panel discussion and Q&A where Headliner Harry and our specially invited guests explore the differences (and similarities) between poetry in performance and poetry on the page.

Food will be available from the wonderful Charlie’s Angels Kitchens; what could be better for a community event than a community-led kitchen that’s good for the environment, easy on the pocket and reduces food waste? Eat what you like, pay what you like and help your community and the planet too – what’s not to like?!

By their very nature, afternoons like these tend to run to their own timetable, but the listing below will give you a good idea of what to expect and approximate timings. Between each event there will be opportunities for spontaneous and impromptu performance – if the mic is free, feel free to express yourself!
